Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People
Employers are responsible for ensuring staff are competent to carry out their responsibilities towards safeguarding children and young people. The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace. The qualification covers how to safeguard and protect children, young people and practitioners in the workplace as well as how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused.
Who is this qualification for?
This course is suitable for learners working, or wishing to work, with children and young people. This includes those in voluntary or unpaid positions, managers, supervisors, full time or part time staff.

Understand how to safeguard and protect children, young people and practitioners in the workplace

CERTIFICATION
Results
Results are available within 10 working days of the exams. HIGH PASS RATE
Certification
Successful candidates will receive a Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People from a recognised awarding body within England and Wales. It is valid for a period of 3 years and can be renewed by attending another Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People course.
How is the qualification assessed?
This qualification is assessed through an open-response learner workbook. This assessment model requires learners to provide a short response to prescribed questions within a workbook set by Awarding Body. Successful learners must demonstrate knowledge and understanding across the qualification syllabus.
